The EPA’s 2021 Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP)  for industrial stormwater expired on February 28, 2026 , but EPA hasn’t finalized the new permit yet. Because of that, the agency temporarily extended the current permit so facilities already covered can keep operating under the same requirements until the new permit is issued.
